Our Mission Statement: At Peace, our mission is to share the love of Jesus and to use our gifts to glorify God.
Sharing the love of Jesus
Jesus said that the way people would know if we were his followers would be by the love we show to one another. We believe our mission is not only to share the love of Jesus with each other, but also to share his love with others who have yet to experience it. Why do we love? Because he first loved us.
In the apostle John's first letter he writes "If we walk in the light as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another."(I John 1:7) At Peace, we seek to walk in the light of Christ and to grow in our fellowship with Him and with one another.
- To grow in fellowship with one another, we gather before worship and go to lunch after the 11:15am service each week. Periodically we gather to table game nights and church family campouts and barbeques.
- To grow in our fellowship with Christ we offer various opportunities to grow spiritually. Each Sunday morning we have classes for all ages.
Using our gifts to glorify God
In Peter's first letter he charges his friends to "As one who has received a gift, employ it for one another, as good stewards of the many sided grace of God." (I Peter 4:10) God has richly blessed us. In turn, we seek to be a blessing to our community and the world. We want to be good stewards of the gifts God has given us and of the people God has brought us. Part of our task is to care for the congregation that God is gathering, and in turn to assist them in using their gifts to be a blessing to others.
In the fourth chapter of the gospel of John, Jesus told the woman at the well, "Those who worship the Father must do so in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23) At Peace, we are diligently seeking to do just that. At this point we gather on Sunday mornings at 9am for a "Blended Service" and at 11:15am for a "Praise Service." Each service features a special children's message, as well as an enraging sermon from our pastor. We encourage children to participate in worship. Following the children's sermon children in 1st grade and older return to sit with their friends and family and we offer them quiet activities to engage them at their level. Children ages 4 and younger can either sit with their families, or their parents can take them to our nursery.
Our Vision Statement
"Over the next 3-5 years we see ourselves becoming a rapidly growing, self-sustaining fellowship of followers of Jesus of at least 300 members, providing multiple opportunities to praise and worship God, Biblically based programs for all ages, and a fruitful outreach ministry."
